About
Who?
My name is Andrew Bell. I am a physics student at Edinburgh University. I like computers, classical music, surreal humour and chocolate cookies.
What?
This is my bloog. It contains thoughts on the things I hold dear. Like chocolate cookies.
Where?
I live in a flat with my fiancĂ©e and two other students in Edinburgh, in Scotland. It’s a beautiful place you should really come and visit. I live near the city center, beside the Meadows on a road called Marchmont Road. Come by and visit if you’re in the area, and we can share a few laughs and chocolate cookies.
Why?
I’ve always wanted to set up a personal blog on this site, and now I’ve finally got round to doing it. Huzzah!
How?
This site is hosted, along with a few others, on a server in my bedroom called Holstein. It contains a Pentium III CPU running at 500MHz, 256MB of RAM, and a 40GB hard drive. It runs Apache, PHP, and MySQL on Gentoo Linux, and is connected to a 24MBit/2.3MBit (down/up) business broadband connection (which was the only way we could get 8 IP addresses). It is a happy computer.
